Bharatavani - A Multilingual Dictionary App
Bharatavani is a free multilingual dictionary app developed and managed by the Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL) under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The app is part of the Bharatavani Multilingual Knowledge Portal, which aims to provide knowledge in over 120 Indian languages. The app sources its data from dictionaries published on the Bharatavani portal, with more than 40 text-based dictionaries readily available for usage on the app. Additionally, 100 more dictionaries are available on the portal in book formats during, which CIIL will digitize and add to the app shortly.
The app allows users to type a word in English, Hindi, or any other language and get results enlisted. Users can also browse dictionaries alphabetically using the menu bar options and get the word transliterated into their choice of language script.
